I developed the creative learning center (CLC) concept. I was the CLC director for 17 years. I became the school administrator in June 2007.

*What is your background? My education and past experiences have always been in the Early Childhood field. I graduated with a B.S. degree in Child Development/Preschool Education from UW-Madison. I have held preschool teaching positions in Madison and Wausau, employed by the Wausau School  District and Pilgrim Nursery School. In addition, I received my ASPO certification and taught Lamaze Childbirth classes for 15 years at Wausau Hospital (Aspirus) and Marshfield Clinic.

*What do you like best about Montessori School of Wausau? I love my job so much that it is very difficult to pinpoint what I enjoy most. I know the people I’ve met, the staff, and the friendships will always be memorable. The spontinaiety, happiness, and excitement of watching the children develop educationally, socially and physically give me what I feel is the best job around!

*Anything pertaining to your job that you feel new families might be interested in knowing?  I love children and I myself am the mother of four, grandmother of eight. I understand the need for a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children. My goal is to provide exactly that environment for the children and families the enroll at Montessori School of Wausau. A place where children and families feel a part of a friendly school community.
